Land Dedication Ordinance (Draft)
The Park Land Dedication Ordinance is a proposed amendment to the City of
Stephenville’s Subdivision regulations.
The ordinance applies to new residential subdivisions.
The proposed ordinance provides open space for the public by
providing adequate park and recreational areas for the well being of the
residents in the City of Stephenville. The City of Stephenville has
determined a strong connection between a residential development and the
need for parkland is essential to the health and welfare of the Citizens of
Stephenville.
The Park Land Dedication Ordinance requires new residential subdivision
developers to contribute either land or payment in lieu of land
contribution. Either form of
dedication shall go towards the local park system.
